Following the announcement by the group Al-Shabaab, which controls much of the country’s south, that it was withdrawing from the capital, and the UN’s declaration of famine in Somalia, food and medical aid have begun arriving from Turkey and various other countries, especially influenced by the holy month of Ramadan.
Ten tons of medical supplies sent from Türkiye were delivered by TİKA to officials from the Somali Ministry of Health.
