The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his accompanying delegation conducted an inspection visit aboard the Oruç Reis seismic research vessel.
During the visit, President Mahmud received a briefing on the ship’s technical capabilities, ongoing research activities, and its planned missions within the framework of Türkiye-Somalia cooperation in the energy sector.
The visit highlights the growing bilateral collaboration between Türkiye and Somalia, particularly in the fields of energy exploration and maritime research.
