Somalis in Canada welcome Turkey’s aid campaign for famine-stricken Somalia with joy and gratitude.

Mahad Yusuf, head of the Somali Immigrant Aid Center, noted that Turkey’s aid campaign has also mobilized other Islamic countries. He described the announcement that Prime Minister Erdoğan would visit Somalia with his wife as “the best news we could possibly hear.”

Yusuf added, “All world leaders should follow the example of Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan.”
