The Turkish people did not remain indifferent to the hunger crisis caused by drought in many African countries, especially Somalia. Throughout the month of Ramadan, people of all ages did their best to contribute.
On the morning of Eid, after kissing their elders’ hands and exchanging holiday greetings, children placed their Eid allowance on carpets laid out for donations to Africa. This touching gesture by the young children was met with admiration by the adults.
