Under the coordination of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the DSI team working in Mogadishu—where hunger and drought threats persist—has successfully completed their work near the Red Crescent tent city in the Medina district.
Led by Musa Yilmaz, a geophysics engineer and Somali coordinator for DSI, the seven-member team found potable freshwater at an approximate depth of 90 meters. Residents of the tent city closely followed the progress of the DSI team’s efforts.
