Prime Minister Erdoğan, during the joint press conference with Somali Interim Federal Government Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohammed Ali, responded to journalists’ questions.

Erdoğan said Turkey is making serious efforts to support Somalia, emphasizing the progress made so far. He stressed the importance of ensuring peace and stability in Somalia and highlighted Turkey’s commitment to diplomatic activities aimed at ending the conflict and achieving reconciliation.

He added:
“We are fully aware that where there is no security, investment cannot take place. For security to be established, weapons must be silenced. Turkey is doing its utmost to promote a peaceful reconciliation process through all diplomatic means.”

Erdoğan also noted Turkey’s dedication to coordinating humanitarian aid and infrastructure projects in Somalia to help the Somali people stand on their own feet.
