For the first time since 1991, a children’s playground and amusement park has been opened in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.
The park aims to help heal the psychological scars of war on children. Local children initially watched in awe and hesitation, but soon began to play and enjoy themselves. The initiative marks a symbolic step toward restoring normalcy and joy to young lives affected by decades of conflict.
