President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his official visit to the Somali capital Mogadishu, attended the opening ceremony of Türkiye’s new embassy alongside Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
As President Erdoğan traveled from Mogadishu’s Aden Abdulle International Airport to the embassy, Somalis lined the streets waving Turkish and Somali flags, offering warm displays of affection and support.
The ceremony highlighted the growing ties between Türkiye and Somalia and underscored Türkiye’s continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic, humanitarian, and development partnerships in the region.
