The first health sciences institute in Somalia, established with the support of Turkey, was officially inaugurated in the capital city of Mogadishu.

The opening ceremony of the Erdoğan Vocational Institute of Health Sciences was attended by numerous officials, including Somali Minister of Interior Abdurrahman Mohamed Hussein, Deputy Health Minister Osman Mohamed, Mogadishu Deputy Mayor Ismail Muallim Abdi, and Turkey’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Olgan Bekar.

The institute marks a major milestone in Somalia’s healthcare education infrastructure and symbolizes the strengthening cooperation between Turkey and Somalia in the field of health and development.
