Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire inaugurated the “Turkish Task Force Command in Somalia” in Mogadishu, established to train the Somali Armed Forces.
The opening ceremony was attended by Turkish Chief of General Staff, General Hulusi Akar, along with senior military officials and ambassadors from various countries. The new military facility symbolizes a deepening of Turkey–Somalia defense cooperation and aims to strengthen Somalia’s security infrastructure through comprehensive military training and support.
