With the support of the Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) in Mogadishu, Turkish has been introduced as a foreign language in the curriculum of a school affiliated with a local orphanage in Somalia.
The Turkish language classes are being taught by a Somali instructor who learned Turkish with the assistance of YEE. This initiative strengthens cultural ties between Türkiye and Somalia and reflects growing interest in Turkish language and education across the region.
