In a powerful show of solidarity, the Somali government and people raised approximately $4.8 million (90 million Turkish lira) for those affected by the devastating earthquakes centered in Türkiye’s Kahramanmaraş province on February 6.
The “Somalia-Türkiye One Heart” campaign was organized in the capital, Mogadishu, bringing together government institutions, businesses, and citizens in support of Türkiye. The fundraising effort highlighted the deep ties and mutual support between the two nations in times of crisis.
