Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) held at the Speke Resort Convention Center in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed opportunities for enhanced cooperation between Türkiye and Somalia, focusing on key areas such as economy, trade, and security. They also exchanged views on pressing regional and global issues, reaffirming the strong ties and shared interests between the two nations.
