President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted a joint press conference at the Presidential Complex in Ankara with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
During the meeting, the leaders addressed regional stability, trilateral cooperation, and joint development projects. They emphasized the importance of dialogue, peace, and sustainable development in the Horn of Africa. President Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to supporting both Somalia and Ethiopia in their pursuit of regional peace and economic growth.
In the Ethiopia–Somalia Ankara Declaration, both parties announced their agreement to set aside differences and disputed issues, and to move forward with determination and cooperation toward shared prosperity.
