Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed gave his first international interview to a Turkish news agency. In the interview, he expressed deep gratitude for Turkey’s humanitarian support and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries. He also highlighted the urgent need for global assistance to address the famine and instability affecting millions in Somalia.
President Ahmed called on other nations to follow Turkey’s example in providing aid and fostering peace in the region.
