The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has donated fishing equipment to the Somali Group of Fishery Association in Mogadishu, supporting local fishermen in boosting their livelihoods and economic resilience.
During the donation ceremony, Somali fishermen wearing TİKA-branded uniforms received essential fishing gear to help improve their daily operations. The event underscored Türkiye’s continued support for Somalia’s development, particularly in sectors that directly impact community welfare and food security.
Local officials and representatives from TİKA emphasized the importance of sustainable fishing and pledged ongoing support for capacity-building in Somalia’s coastal communities.
