Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Olgan Bekar, announced that FETÖ-linked schools in Somalia were shut down immediately following the July 15 coup attempt in Türkiye, marking the first international response against the organization.
“Somalia delivered the first blow to FETÖ. The schools affiliated with the group were closed the day after the coup attempt,” Ambassador Bekar said.
He added that there are no remaining issues related to FETÖ in Somalia, noting the country’s swift and decisive action in support of Türkiye.
“Somalia stood by Türkiye in a critical moment. We no longer face any problems related to FETÖ in the country,” he emphasized.
