A total of 380 tons of food supplies procured by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) were dispatched to various regions of Somalia facing severe hunger and drought.

Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak (right) attended the official send-off ceremony held in front of Türkiye’s Embassy in Mogadishu. In his speech during the event, Kaynak emphasized Türkiye’s unwavering support for Somalia and reiterated the importance of humanitarian solidarity in times of crisis.

The aid aims to alleviate the suffering of thousands of people affected by prolonged drought conditions and is part of Türkiye’s broader humanitarian assistance program in the Horn of Africa.
