Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak (right) took part in an official ceremony in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, where vehicles and equipment provided by the Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılayı) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) were handed over to the Benadir Regional Administration and Mogadishu Municipality.
The handover event was held at the Turkish Red Crescent compound in Mogadishu and was attended by AK Party Istanbul MP Nureddin Nebati, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu Olgan Bekar, TİKA President Serdar Çam (second from right), Turkish Red Crescent President Kerem Kınık (third from right), AFAD Department Head Cengiz Akın, and several Somali officials.
The donated vehicles and equipment are expected to strengthen local infrastructure and enhance municipal services in the capital as part of Türkiye’s continued commitment to supporting Somalia’s development and humanitarian efforts.
