Following the devastating drought of 2011, Somalia is once again gripped by a severe hunger crisis. Nearly 6 million of the country’s 12 million citizens are affected by drought conditions, facing extreme shortages of food and water.
As the Somali people await support from the international community to survive the crisis, the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH) continues to implement emergency aid projects in the country. In regions where rain has not fallen for months, wells have dried up, and communities are suffering from severe water scarcity, İHH has been providing urgent humanitarian assistance without interruption.
Türkiye’s response underscores its ongoing commitment to supporting Somalia through critical aid and development efforts during times of emergency.
