The Turkish Red Crescent has delivered 13,000 tons of humanitarian aid supplies to Somali authorities as part of the “Be the Hope” campaign initiated under the directive of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The aid ship departed from Mersin’s Taşucu Port on June 4 and arrived in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, earlier this week. The supplies were officially handed over to Somali officials at the Port of Mogadishu.

Turkey’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Olgan Bekar, delivered remarks during the handover ceremony, reaffirming Turkey’s continued solidarity with the Somali people in times of need. The aid includes food, medical supplies, and essential goods aimed at alleviating humanitarian challenges in the region.
