The Turkish military training center in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, has celebrated the graduation of its first group of Somali soldiers.
The ceremony was attended by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo (left), government officials, Somali and Turkish military commanders, as well as Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Olgan Bekar (right).
The training center, established to strengthen the Somali National Army, represents a key element of the defense cooperation between Türkiye and Somalia. The graduation marks a significant milestone in Somalia’s efforts to build a professional and capable military force with the support of Türkiye.
