While Somalia has faced years of political turmoil, terrorist attacks, and widespread hunger, its people continue to view Turkey as a strategic and reliable partner that has consistently stood by them in their most difficult moments.
Unlike much of the international community, which has largely remained indifferent to the series of political and humanitarian crises in Somalia, Turkey has never hesitated to extend a helping hand. Somalis have not forgotten the support and humanitarian assistance provided by Turkey during times of hardship.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency in the capital Mogadishu, Somali citizen Mohamed Sheikh Tahir emphasized the importance of Turkey’s unwavering support. He noted that Turkey’s presence and aid have made a real difference in the lives of many Somalis, and that the country remains deeply grateful for this solidarity.
