Under the framework of the Military Training and Cooperation Agreement between Türkiye and Somalia, the military academy established in Somalia celebrated its first graduating class.
A total of 330 Somali cadets graduated from the academy during a ceremony held in the capital Mogadishu. The event was attended by Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire (center), Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz (second from left), military officials, and a large number of attendees.
The military academy, built and supported by Türkiye, plays a vital role in training future officers of the Somali Armed Forces, strengthening the country’s security institutions and fostering long-term bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
