While the 1st Somali Infantry Battalion personnel, who successfully completed their Basic Commando Training in Türkiye, have returned to Somalia, the 2nd Somali Infantry Battalion has arrived in Isparta to begin the same training program.
According to a statement shared on the official Twitter account of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, the 2nd Battalion personnel will undergo training at the Mountain Commando School and Training Center Command in Isparta.
The program is part of Türkiye’s continued military cooperation with Somalia, aimed at supporting the development of a professional and capable Somali National Army. The training includes rigorous instruction in commando tactics, physical endurance, and operational readiness.
