The oath-taking ceremony of the 6th Somali Infantry Battalion, trained by the Somali Turkish Task Force Command, was held at the Anadolu Barracks in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.
The soldiers, who completed their rigorous military training under the supervision of Turkish instructors, officially pledged their allegiance in a formal event attended by military officials and dignitaries from both Türkiye and Somalia.
The ceremony marks another milestone in the ongoing military cooperation between Türkiye and Somalia, as part of the broader bilateral efforts to support Somalia’s security and defense capacity-building. The Anadolu Barracks, home to Türkiye’s largest overseas military training base, continues to play a key role in developing a professional and disciplined Somali National Army.
