The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has provided laboratory equipment to a hospital in Wajid, one of the poorest cities in Somalia.

The aid aims to improve healthcare services in the region by enhancing diagnostic capabilities and supporting the hospital’s operational capacity. TİKA’s support is part of Türkiye’s broader commitment to strengthening Somalia’s healthcare infrastructure and delivering humanitarian assistance to underserved areas.

Local health officials expressed their gratitude for the contribution, noting that the new equipment will significantly aid in the treatment and diagnosis of patients in Wajid.
