Located along the Indian Ocean coast, Türkiye continues to support the reorganization and capacity-building of Somalia’s security forces through training, organizational development, military infrastructure, and logistics support activities at the Anadolu Barracks, home of the Somali Turkish Task Force Command.
As part of this mission, Turkish military advisors provide strategic consultancy to the Somali Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and the Army, Navy, and Air Force Commands, assisting with the restructuring of the Somali Armed Forces.
Recently, Turkish military personnel conducted refresher training for the elite “Eagle Battalions,” units that have completed their education at the Anadolu Barracks and are now part of the Somali Armed Forces. The training aimed to maintain combat readiness and reinforce tactical capabilities.
Anadolu Agency (AA) accompanied Turkish instructors during the exercises, which further showcased Türkiye’s ongoing and multidimensional support for the stabilization and security development of Somalia.
