Somalia’s newly elected President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo officially took over his duties during a handover ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Mogadishu.
Farmaajo (left) received the presidential responsibilities from outgoing President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud (right), marking a peaceful transfer of power and a milestone in the country’s democratic journey.
