In an effort to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Somalia, the Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılayı) delivered one ton of humanitarian aid supplies to the Somali National Drought Response Committee.
During the handover ceremony, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Olgan Bekar (right), emphasized that the Turkish Red Crescent and other aid organizations from Türkiye will play a leading role in addressing the ongoing drought crisis affecting several regions of the country.
Ambassador Bekar reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued commitment to supporting Somalia in times of need, stating that solidarity and timely assistance are crucial in overcoming the challenges posed by the drought.
