The 10th anniversary of the close friendship between Türkiye and Somalia was celebrated with a special event held in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

The ceremony brought together senior officials from both countries. Attendees included Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu, Mehmet Yılmaz (second from left); Somali Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohammed Gulaid (second from right); Minister of Information Osman Dubbe; Minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beileh; and numerous other high-level dignitaries.

The event highlighted the deep-rooted diplomatic, humanitarian, and developmental cooperation between the two nations, which began a decade ago with Türkiye’s strong engagement in Somalia during a period of crisis. Officials praised the strategic partnership, expressing commitment to further strengthening ties in various sectors including health, education, infrastructure, and security.
