Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo in Istanbul on the sidelines of the 3rd Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ongoing cooperation in areas such as defense, education, health, and infrastructure. President Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued support for Somalia’s stability and development, while President Farmajo expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s contributions and longstanding friendship.
The meeting underscored the deepening ties between Türkiye and Somalia within the broader framework of Türkiye’s growing engagement with the African continent.
